Helium is a knowledge co-operative where our members share their talents to improve the site. From the beginning, we have supported innovative ways to empower our dedicated community with tools to help make Helium a better site, fun place to write and a more interactive site.

Benefits of volunteering on Helium
As a member of Helium’s writing community, you contribute first as a writer and a rater. As a member volunteer, your contribution adds up to large gains for Helium. Among the rewards:

• Special badges displayed on your About Me pages, viewable by all members and visitors. You will also have direct access to influence the quality of content on Helium and encourage other writers.
• Resume and skills building! Add to your resume as you have the opportunity to build editing, fact-checking and writing expertise.
• Participation in quarterly conference calls with Helium’s executive team. Share recommendations directly with Helium staff.

Who can be a volunteer?

All potential volunteers go through a vetting process and training. You’ll learn from other volunteer members who will help guide you along the way. Once you’re approved, you’ll have seasoned mentors and Helium staff ready to help at any time.
